I stepped out the front door, crossed the street making my way through the piles of snow left over from yesterday's day of snow. What a bright day. What a great day for a parade.
The Main St closed off 8820. Yesterday this street was a long band of white show. Today it is as clean as if we hadn't been snowed on. 8826. Looking back from where I just walked from. People are beginning to get to their favorite places.

Looking down street not a whole lot of people yet. But it is early. 8831. Just twenty after twelve. Parade starts at one. Here are some of the parade characters making their way toward and into the parade.
8832-8836
The side streets in snow and looking pretty fine. Trees along the edges covered with snow and the soft mounds of brand now snow on the roofs. 8837
That didn't take long. Lots of people making their way. 8839.

8880 The Saranac Lake high school band making their way down the hill to set up.
8882 Just about ready to get started. I have to make my way back toward town to get well ahead of the parade.
8887 Ooh. There's a nice view. The village is lit up.
8888 And another view. I made my way past a person and up an embankment of snow to get this shot. The person watched me the whole way, no doubt wondering what was so exciting away from the parade excitement.
8893
